1st European conference on innovatively financed media // 6 and 7 November 2012 in Ghent (Belgium)

For the first time ever creative media and funding organisations gather at European level to explore the potential of innovatively financed media in Europe and debate the learnings for tomorrow’s media. The second Future Media Lab. conference and workshop during the Creative Media Days on 6 and 7 November 2012 in Ghent (Belgium) is titled “creative funding for creative media”. It will put the future of innovation, creativity and quality in the focus.

A line-up of highest level speakers from across Europe and the US include the editor-in-chief of NU.nl, the biggest newsportal in The Netherlands run by Sanoma Media, the Vice-President of the Knight Foundation in the US, investing in quality journalism projects in the US and beyond, and the co-founder of Matter, the most successfully crowdfunded digital magazine project ever launched via kickstarter.

The conference and workshop gathers a wide audience from the creative sector, including media professionals, start-ups, journalists, funding organisations, creative thinkers and other individuals interested in creative media.
