EMMA's Future Media Lab. hosts first Summit for its AEMII project: Accelerating European Media Innovation and Insights

Today, 14 December, the Future Media Lab. kicked off it's innovation project - Accelerating European Media Innovation and Insights (AEMII) - by hosting a meeting with digital media strategy decision makers and providers of innovative technologies for media companies from across Europe. Eight publishers from Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland were present for the meeting, as well as five innovation partners.

The aim of this gathering, which took place in Brussels, was to bring together the different publishers, innovation partners and academics involved in the project in order to learn about the current state-of-play in their companies to develop collaborative solutions so that the AEMII programme can be tailored to best address the challenges they are facing.

The AEMII programme has been created by a coalition of media companies, innovation partners, policy advisors, academia and investors in order to mitigate     the technology-driven disruption to pave the way for success in the digital age. Led by the Future Media Lab., in cooperation with IHS Technology (UK) and Ecuiti (US/UK), this project aims to help Europe's media companies break down the barriers that exist between the media sector and disruptive technological     advances that are radically changing the sector. By uniting these different groups, AEMII is able to develop structured collaboration among the different players in the media sector to address the challenges the sector is facing in an innovative and scalable way.
