James Hewes will replace Chris Llewellyn as the new CEO of FIPP, the network for global media, of which EMMA is a member as from September 2017. Mr. Hewes’ joined FIPP in 2004 when he was working for the BBC Worldwide, and has been a director of the FIPP Management Board since October 2015.
“I am a huge supporter of FIPP and it’s an incredible honour to be asked to lead the organisation. FIPP’s ability to connect its members with the information networking opportunities and expertise they need are more important than ever,” said Mr. Hewes about his appointment.
Mr. Llewellyn is stepping down after 8 years as CEO, and 18 years as a member of the FIPP Management Board. He also served as FIPP’s Chairman between 2005 and 2007. He announced his decision to leave his current post in February 2017 to pursue his own interests. EMMA greatly appreciates all the work Mr. Llewellyn has done on behalf of FIPP for the media industry, and hereby wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors. We also would like to welcome Mr. Hewes to his new role, and look forward to collaborating with him in the future.
