This conference and corresponding workshop provide a unique opportunity to open a dialogue between journalists, media companies, foundations, and academics about the future challenges facing the media and publishing sectors in Europe. It offers the chance to share past successes, explore ways in which crowdfunding can boost business, and discuss how innovatively funded media can enable the delivery of quality and local content.
Today’s media environment is faced with unique and lasting challenges that affect the ways in which media are produced, consumed, and shared. Events such as this – which bring together leading innovators and working journalists – are important for the future of the industry.
